As a sponsor of Crankworx Whistler, and the official bike partner of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park, Giant plays a big role in the massive mountain festival in British Columbia. Riders from the Giant Factory Off-Road Team competed in all types of events, scoring wins in races ranging from Fat Tire Crits to the world-famous Garbanzo DH. The final weekend of the 10-day event included the Whip-Off World Championships and the Red Bull Joyride. Giant rider Kurt Sorge, a Canadian competing on home turf, put on a great show for his fans in the Whip competition, landing on the podium at the end of the day.
