Round 1 and the opening two heats of Round 2 of the Billabong Pro Tahiti were completed today in shifting three-to-five foot (1 -- 1.5 metre) waves at Teahupo'o and while the conditions didn't exactly mirror last year's "historic" offering, the infamous lefthander and the performances of the world's best surfers delivered nonetheless. The Billabong team had a massive presence in the Billabong Pro Tahiti 2016 trials and the boys gave it their all to try and make the main event.
